Welcome to N.J.R. Logistics Group Transfer & Storage

Kareesha Robinson and Khia Robinson CEO of Warehousing and Logistics

(Left to Right)

Khia Robinson - Daughter

Kareesha Robinson - Wife

I hope we can become beneficial by directing you to the right place to seek assistance from N.J.R. Logistic Group

Let us explain vehicle Transport & Moving. We have many options in shipping vehicles. We post some vehicles on Central Dispatch. We obtain clients and contracts and submit the agreement to N.J.R. Trucking or other Owner Operators.

When you asked to ship a vehicle also know if you want enclosed or open transport. Enclosed cost more to ship.

Movers vs. Brokers

Are you hiring a household goods mover or broker? What is the difference?

Download our movers vs. brokers fact sheet to learn the difference.

A moving broker is a company that arranges for the transportation of your cargo, utilizing for-hire carriers to provide the actual truck transportation. Moving brokers are sales teams that book your move and sell it to an actual moving company.

A moving broker is not a mover. A broker does not assume responsibility for, and is not authorized to transport, your household goods. Brokers do not have moving trucks or professional movers. Brokers for interstate moves are required to use only movers that are registered with FMCSA.

Sometimes the broker is not able to sell the job to a moving company for various reasons – low estimates, no availability, limited resources, etc. – and in this case you can get stuck without a mover on the day of your move. Many moving brokers operate from call centers located anywhere in the country.

What do I do if I am working with a broker?

When you book your move, make sure to ask the company whether they are an actual moving company or broker. If they are a broker, they must:

  • Be registered with FMCSA;
  • Provide you with FMCSA’s Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move booklet and the Ready to Move brochure;
  • Provide you with a list of the moving companies they use;
  • Use only movers that are registered with FMCSA;
  • Have a written agreement with movers they use;
  • Base binding or non-binding estimates on the tariff of the mover that will transport your shipment;
  • Reference in their advertisements their physical business location, MC number, and their status as a broker that does not transport household goods but arranges for this service; and
  • Have the mover that is transporting your shipment perform a physical survey of your household goods if they are within a 50-mile radius of the mover or its agent's location, whichever is closer. It is your option to waive this requirement.

To check whether your broker or mover is registered with FMCSA and/or check its complaint history, use our search tool.

Liability & Protection

Working with a household goods carrier (mover) can be nerve-racking. You are packing up all your treasured possessions – furniture, family, pictures, heirlooms, antiques, children’s toys – and handing them over to strangers to load into a truck. While most moves go smoothly, accidents do happen, and some items may be lost or damaged during shipment.

Your mover is responsible for the value of the goods you asked them to transport. You can read about the two types of liability below or in the Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move booklet movers are required by Federal regulations to provide when you move from one state to another.

What are your options?

Under Federal law, interstate movers must offer two different liability options referred to as valuation coverage: Full Value Protection and Released Value.

If you're moving within your state...

Each state may have its own rules and regulations governing moves within the state. Check with your state, county or local consumer affairs agency or state moving association if you're moving to a new location within the same state.

Keep in mind...

Some of your actions may limit your mover's liability. These include:

  • Packing perishable, dangerous or hazardous materials in your household goods without your mover's knowledge.
  • Packing your own boxes. You may consider packing your own household goods articles to reduce your costs, but if the articles you pack are damaged, it may be more difficult to establish your claim against the mover for the boxes you pack.
  • Choosing Released Value coverage when your household goods are valued at more than 60 cents per pound per article.
  • Failing to notify your mover in writing about articles of extraordinary value.
  • Signing a delivery receipt for your household goods if it contains any language about releasing or discharging your mover or its agents from liability. Strike out this kind of language.
  • Failing to report loss and damage promptly. You have nine (9) months following the date of delivery of your shipment to file a written claim with your mover.

NORTH AMERICAN VAN LINES AGENT EQUIPMENT IN SERVICE

2111 INDUSTRIAL PARK DRIVE / WILSON, NC - WAREHOUSE

   WHY AND HOW THE TEAMSTERS’ WAREHOUSE DIVISION CAN BE HELPFUL FOR WAREHOUSE SHIPPING RATES?

WHO WE DO BUSINESS WITH THAT DISAGREE WITH UNION ACTIVITIES?

The unions of North America are something like a temp agency mindset in some form of another. The temp will find you jobs and you pay a fee for using their services.

What I Like About Union Company?  Now as a business owner I only hire my office staff and one person from the union that I am obligated to be on our payroll. The Lead Engineer or Shop Steward hires and fires union members. It stops a lot of lawsuits of sexually harassment, transgender, disabilities, etc.

 What I Don’t Like About Unions of North America?  I don’t like a shop steward or lead engineer that the Union works for them. I can understand if the season is busy and there is nobody left but open invite to the union without proper education and training. I can have patience with that.

However, a shop steward or lead engineer should be looking for union members that work for the union and not the union work for them.
